Kirby was originally burned in to two inch thick maple by a laser process. After installation the mural looked very washed out and many features were missing. Kirby was hit with a baseball and blinded in his left. As you can see that eye is completely missing in the before photo. This was sure to cause controversy around the ball park.

This needed to get fixed. To disassemble and re burn this image would cost around $100,000

Next option, Have it airbrushed in. I was contracted by Target Field to come in and hand paint Kirby’s features in.

Every thing worked out great...     The mural stands thirty feet tall from his waist to the top of his head.

Another feature of Target Field is the Legend's Club Lounge, which is open to Club Level seat holders. The Legend's Club itself is a large climate controlled area featuring full service bars, large screen TV's, fireplaces, and upscale food options. There are several different lounge areas in the Legend's Club, all honoring different Minnesota Twin legends. The lounges include the Harmon Killebrew Lounge, the Kirby Puckett Lounge, and the Rod Carew Lounge. The 573 Bar is in Harmon Killebrew's Lounge - honoring his 573 home runs he hit. The Legend's Club is a great new area of Target Field and is a must for every Twin fan to check out!
